Marianne Jones

Marianne Jones is from Northwestern Ontario, where the landscape and climate of the Lake Superior region have shaped her perceptions. Her poems have appeared in numerous journals and won seven awards, including The Northwestern Ontario Writers’ Workshop (NOWW) Writing Contest, the Writers’ Digest Poetry Competition and the Canadian Authors’ Association Northern Ontario Poetry Competition. Her work is rooted in the lakes, the trees, the highways and the frosted windshields of Northwestern Ontario. This is her second collection of poetry and her third book.
