The Search for Cuddles and Jonathan's Dream

by Liz von Kanel

The Search for Cuddles.
This is a true story. It is about my 3 children,(Natalie, Jonathan, and Melissa ) and the surprise they got one day. Growing up, we always had animals in the house, especially cats. This story is about one particular cat, Cuddles, and what happened to her, and where she went. What did the kids discover about Cuddles when they found her?

Jonathan’s Dream
This is story about Jonathan and his dream. He used to have dreams about all kind of things; usually they were about his adventures that he had during the day. Jonathan, like most boys, liked dinosaurs and had plenty of dinosaur toys to play with. This dream happened to Jonathan when he was 5 years old. What makes this story interesting is that Jonathan’s dream pertained to his sister, Melissa. They were 11 months and 1 week apart in age, so it is understanding why his sister, would be in his dream.

Liz loves writing children stories and always got ideas from her own children’s lives, as they grew up and had different adventures, and different dreams. She lived in a small town, Rigaud, Quebec, Canada for many years, on a mountain, about 600 ft up, surrounded by trees, which brought many stories of the adventures of her kids. She now lives in Morinville, Alberta- Canada.
The stories that Liz writes, are true stories from her own children’s lives. Her children today are grown up adults, with children of their own. The stories have been read in the Daycare where one of her children (Natalie) works, and have been enjoyed by many, including Rebecca, one of her grandchildren.
Liz decided to publish the stories for her grandchildren, Rebecca and Jacob, as a souvenir. It is a great way for grandchildren to be bound to grandparents.
Liz is also a member of Toastmasters - .and has found that her writing plays an important part of her Toastmaster experience.
