The Rebirth of Nell

This is the story of an overactive, underachieving girl living her life and waiting to excel. That is, until she is placed in a coma for six months after being hit in a pedestrian accident. She endured numerous struggles on her way up from recovering, only to realize she had to face many more.

The girl that I speak of is multi-talented, enthusiastic and positive.

This girl is the only girl i can speak of without a doubt.

This girl is me.

Jennell Conners harbors many struggles, due to the circumstances of her newly created situation. Never wanting to accept defeat, she fought to overcome many obstacles in her life. Battling isolation at a young age, never popular in high school, but always active, she maintained high expectations of others and never let them down. She joined the army reserves after graduation to ensure a full ride to college. Right after her training was over, she procrastinated on going straight to school and instead wasted time, money, and life twiddling her thumbs. But, God had other plans for her. In July of 2006 she was injured in a pedestrian accident, rendering her comatose for most of the remainder of the year. But if there’s a will, there will be a way. The best way to sum up Jennell is by stating the fact that she is an over-expected underachiever. Some say when life hands you lemons, make lemonade.

Jennell never liked lemonade, but when handed opportunities, challenges, and obstacles - she could always make the best of it.
