Set the Mood

A Collection of Poems from 1993-2005 by “Tear Drop” Williams

Relationships ~ though intimate or friend
From beginning to end
Through the ups and downs
Is the reason for the direction of a frown
These words you are about to read
Are not just letters on a page
But feelings in a craze;
A passion of happiness;
Forceful sadness
Concern for the madness
All explained in different ways.

Tear Drop, born Arnibba Nacole Williams, a native of the Nation’s Capital, attended elementary and middle school in Hyattsville and Silver Spring, MD. She completed three years of Independent Correspondence School through Newport Pacific High School located in Scranton, PA earning her High School diploma at the tender age of 16. At which she went straight into furthering her education at Morris College in Sumter, SC majoring in Early Childhood Education. Three years later she was blessed with a beautiful bouncy baby boy, Marquis. Then off to boot camp to serve and protect her country in the United States Navy. Ten years later she gave birth to Je’Vonte, 18 months later on her birthday she gave birth to Jozsua. She continues to do her duty as a Single Parent Sailor raising her children and serving her country in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

As a young teenager, Tear Drop began writing poetry as a means of letting out steam…a means of communication for her thoughts where she wouldn’t be misconstrued. For a long time, Tear Drop’s poetry was kept hidden for fear of someone finding out what she really thought. Tear Drop earned her name because of the way her poetry brings tears to the eyes of those who hear or read her work.

Today, Tear Drop writes beyond her own thoughts and experiences as she gets into the minds of her audience and writes what they feel about everyday life situations in hopes of providing encouragement to someone in need of a long distance friend that’s available to you at your fingertips.
