Radar the Rescue Dog is the best kids book ever, and parents can read it too!

Every year young skiers get lost while skiing in Canada's ski areas. Radar the Rescue Dog is an educational book. It will assist parents, ski schools and all those connected with children in the ski industry in creating mountain safety awareness.

Dave Irwin

Crazy Canuck

In my career as a patrolman, heliski guide, member of the Whistler Search and Rescue Team, President and Treasurer of the Canadian Avalanche Association, and Director of the Canadian Avalanche Foundation I have long been involved

in mountain safety. Education is a very important aspect of mountain safety and this book should help that effort. If appreciation of the potential dangers of the mountain environment and a proper respect for the rules of big mountain ski areas can be imparted at an early age then these young people are more likely to develop attitudes that will help to prevent them from venturing into dangerous situations.

John Hetherington

Janet Love Morrison first started skiing on Whistler Mountain in the mid-seventies and years later made the valley her home. During that time she worked for Whistler Mountain Ski Corporation and learnt the concerns surrounding young children getting lost on a mountain. Some rescues were successful; some were fatal. Therefore, she wrote this book with the intent to educate young skiers about mountain and ski safety. Today Love Morrison is a Vancouver based author and editor. Radar the Rescue Dog is her fifth book.
