Parables of Cakes
Responding to God’s unique love and call in our lives by Ayoma Fonseka

Many of us feel disconnected from God. In our modern world, a myriad of voices and distractions drown out His call and pull our attention away from our Creator. We easily forget that God loves every one of us, and He longs to enter into a personal relationship with His children. God reveals Himself to us through everyday activities and interactions. He is the source of everything, and He is in everyone. We all possess gifts given to us by our heavenly Father. Our purpose in life is to use those gifts to share His love and passion for all people, so that the world will know Him in His glory.

Through simple analogies and visual illustrations, Parables of Cakes powerfully turns readers’ eyes back to the Creator and ignites the desire to draw close to Him. Experience the joy of reconnecting with God through prayer, the Holy Sacraments, and relationships with His people. Every page will remind you of His sweet invitation to come into your heart and fellowship with you. Let today be the day of your salvation (2 Corinthians 6:2).

"Very edifying and inspiring" - Rev. Fr. Roger Vandenakker CC

A convert from Buddhism to Christianity, Ayoma Fonseka praises God for placing her on the path to life with the Lord Jesus Christ. Once actively involved in Buddhist charity work, Ayoma now serves in the Catholic church through various committees and prayer groups. She has committed her life to sharing Christ’s message of love.

As a professional cake designer, Ayoma uses her creative gift to bring glory to her God. The recipient of over sixty-five awards for her cake creations, Ayoma has been featured on television as well as in numerous magazines and newspapers in Canada and around the world. She has taught cake decorating at George Brown College and as a ‘Wilton’ cake instructor.

“I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with ability and intelligence, with knowledge and all craftsmanship, to devise artistic designs, to work in gold, silver, and bronze,” (Exodus 31:3–4, ESV).
